Type of Project Queen size quilt
Size big
Constructed by Leta Goehring
Quilted by Sharon Goehring
Date Started
Date Completed January 6, 1997
Techniques It appears to be mostly hand-pieced. It was handquilted 1/4". The binding was attached by machine.
Purpose In the mid-80's, I expressed a desire to learn to quilt but feared the tedium of piecing. My mother-in-law gave me the top to quilt. I do not know the origins of the mostly polyester scraps used for piecing.
Errata Bob: "Funny how some of the color schemes you grew up with in the '60's tend to make you dizzy in the '90's. Despite the colors, this is a very warm quilt. This is the first one Sharon completely quilted. She thought that she would never finish. It has been adopted (abducted?) by our daughter."
