Carl F. Bahr
was born in Germany on 24 Dec 1821. After his marriage to Friedricke Kaething (or possibly Charlotte Bach), Carl emigrated to the U.S. and probably entered the country in New York.  From there, he and his family moved west into Wisconsin, probably through Pennsylvania.

Carl died on 5 April 1914 and is buried in the Mound Cemetery, Racine, Wisconsin.

Johan W. F. Bahr
was born in Germany on 7 Oct 1864. He immigrated to the United States with his father, mother and siblings.  The 1900 Racine County census gives his year of immigration as 1882 and place of naturalization as Pennsylvania, although it is believed the family came into the country through New York.  Finally, sometime before 1887, the family settled in Racine, Wisconsin.

His first occupation in America was that of a shoemaker.  Later, John Bahr works for F. Bros. & Co. as a painter and is listed in the 1887, 1890, and 1892 Racine City Directories as such.

On 20 Dec 1890, he married Mathilda W. Raguse, daughter of Henrich and Amelia Louise [Hartman], in Racine, Wisconsin.  They had eleven children:  Frank, Charlie, William, Henry, Clara, Lillian, Arthur, Louis, Herman, Edna, and Dorothy.

The family lived in several houses in Racine.  John died of heart disease on 7 Mar 1934 and is buried in the Mound Cemetery, Racine, Wisconsin.  Mathilda died on 16 Jun 1957 and is buried with her husband.

William John Bahr
was the third child of John and Mathilda, born on 21 Apr 1898 in Racine, Wisconsin. He married Catherine Irene Perkins (see Perkins), daughter of Charles and Alvina [Wesely], in Racine on 24 Oct 1925.  An industrious and talented man, Bill built his own house (2307 Green Street) in Racine.  Bill and Katie had two children who lived to adulthood.

Although only educated through the 5th grade, Bill was a sheet metal worker employed at Mohr-Jones in Racine, Wisconsin for fifty years. He was a member of Sheet Metal Local #35 for 60 years. He worked with Frank Lloyd Wright and installed the duct-work for the Johnson Wax Building in Racine. This work was accomplished through his own company, Bahr Sheet Metal.

Bill died 3 Dec 1987 and is buried with his loving wife at the West Lawn Memorial Park, Racine, Wisconsin.

Allan Clifford Bahr
is the second son of William and Catherine. He has received a BS, Electrical Engineering, from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a MS, Business Organizational Management, from the University of La Verne, La Verne California.  Allan served as a US Navy Reservist assigned to a VP squadron. His many deployments took him to places as far away as Spain and Egypt.  He worked many years with various companies (such as McDonald Douglas) throughout the country.

He married Catherine Marie Barth (see Barth).  Together, they raised four daughters.  Catherine passed away on 3 Nov 1982 and is buried at the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Huntington Beach, California.  Al passed away at his home in Fountain Valley, California, in April 2009. He is buried next to his beloved Catherine.

Sharon Lee Bahr
is the eldest of Al and Cathy's children. Sharon is a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in Augsburg, Germany, where she met and married Robert Lynn Goehring (see Goehring).
